Would you like to have your own free "@folbc.org" email address? 

If you are a member of FOLBC, we are offering a free email forwarding address for you.  You will be able to receive email sent to your name @folbc.org at your current email address.  To sign up, email web @ folbc . org and give me your current email address and the email address you would like to have @folbc.org (assigned on a first come basis).  

(Below email options are available for officers only)

FOL board members may apply for a free POP email account (one you can use to send and receive email).  Contact Janet McMurrin for more details.  After you sign up, use these instructions to set up your email account with Outlook Express (email for help if you have problems):

  • Open Outlook Express
  • Choose "Tools" > "Accounts"
  • Make sure the "Mail" tab is selected, choose "Add" > "Mail"
  • Type your name as you wish it to appear on your emails > "Next"
  • Type your email address yourname@folbc.org > "Next"
  • My incoming mail server is a "POP3" server
  • Incoming mail server: "pop.folbc.org"
  • Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: "smtp.folbc.org" > "Next"
  • Account name: yourname#folbc.org
  • Password: (type the password you wish to use) > "Next" > "Finish"
  • Click on the name of the new email account you created in the "Internet Accounts" dialog box, and choose "Properties".
  • Choose the "Servers" tab, and make sure the box that says "My server requires authentication" under the "Outgoing Mail Server" section is checked. > "Apply".
  • Choose the "Advanced" tab, and put "587" in the Server Port Numbers, Outgoing Mail (SMTP) box. > "Apply" > "Close".
