Would you like to have your own free "@folbc.org" email address? 

If you are a member of FOLBC, we are offering a free email forwarding address for you.  You will be able to receive email sent to your name @folbc.org at your current email address.  To sign up, email janet@folbc.org and give me your current email address and the email address you would like to have @folbc.org (assigned on a first come basis).  

(Below email options are available for officers only)

FOL board members may apply for a free POP email account (one you can use to send and receive email).  Email janet@folbc.org for more details.  After you sign up, use these instructions to set up your email account with Outlook Express (email for help if you have problems):

  • Open Outlook Express
  • Choose "Tools" > "Accounts"
  • Make sure the "Mail" tab is selected, choose "Add" > "Mail"
  • Type your name as you wish it to appear on your emails > "Next"
  • Type your email address yourname@folbc.org > "Next"
  • My incoming mail server is a "POP3" server
  • Incoming mail server: "pop.folbc.org"
  • Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: "smtp.folbc.org" > "Next"
  • Account name: yourname#folbc.org
  • Password: (type the password you wish to use) > "Next" > "Finish"
  • Click on the name of the new email account you created in the "Internet Accounts" dialog box, and choose "Properties".
  • Choose the "Servers" tab, and make sure the box that says "My server requires authentication" under the "Outgoing Mail Server" section is checked. > "Apply".
  • Choose the "Advanced" tab, and put "587" in the Server Port Numbers, Outgoing Mail (SMTP) box. > "Apply" > "Close".

You can also check your email via the web, by clicking here and entering your email address and password.
